We value our employees and recognize that their physical and financial well-being is critical to our success. We strive to support wellness for all of our employees and have developed a number of programs to achieve this goal.
Empowering Wellness is a global internal campaign for NYSE Euronext employees that promotes a healthy lifestyle. The program focuses on four important areas—stress resiliency, preventive care, healthy eating, and physical activity—and provides information and resources to assist employees in creating healthier, stronger, more balanced lifestyles. Programs include: in-office yoga classes and massages, availability of a healthy 600-calorie lunch menu option called Whole+Sum, and the NYX 500, a global internal campaign to promote exercise among employees.
Financial capability is one of the key areas of focus for our community efforts, but we recognize that it must start at home. Not only does better financial fitness contribute to better physical fitness for our employees, but it helps them to build stronger financial futures. From auto-enroll and auto-escalate 401(k) plans to financial education seminars on a wide variety of topics to our NYSE MoneySense website, we seek to empower our employees with the financial tools, information, and skills they need.
We also provide our employees with a number of other valuable benefits of working at NYSE Euronext, including discounted rates or free admission to top cultural institutions in multiple cities in which we have a significant presence. Our cultural memberships provide special employee access to favorite New York venues, including the American Museum of Natural History, the Metropolitan Museum Art, the Museum of American Finance, the Museum of Modern Art, and New York Botanical Garden. Outside of New York, employees can enjoy entrance fee discounts at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Field Museum (Chicago), Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
